Traditional interior components will become high tech systems – Our Senior Manager Advanced Technologies, Jesus Galan, spoke at first Automotive Materials Summit in Munich
How does YFAI create its concepts for the interior of the future? What role will quality of life play in future vehicle interiors? Recently, our Senior Manager Advanced Technologies Jesus Galan from our Innovation Team shared insights into the results of our consumer research study and our Interior Vision 2030 at the Automotive Materials Summit in Munich, Germany. These new insights also influenced our new vehicle interior concept XiM20 that will make its European debut in in Fall 2019. Jesus also explained how megatrends like Electrification, Autonomous Driving, Shared Mobility and Connectivity will impact traditional interior components that will become high tech systems in future and what this means for us as a supplier if these components need to be updated on an annual basis.
The automotive industry meeting was an event from the Crain Polymer Group that brought together decision-makers from OEMs, suppliers and service providers with experts from science to discuss new possibilities and opportunities in automotive interiors and advanced materials. 2019 was the first year that the summit was held.
Participants and speakers included prominent representatives of vehicle manufacturers and suppliers – both at the management and engineering level including auto makers, Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 component suppliers, resin makers and software companies.
